This sofa was conceived as a dialogue between refined upholstery, sinuous form, and the instinctive, hand-carved language of French artisan Étienne Moyat, whose work explores the vitality and movement of wood through carving, burning, and gesture.
Its generous curved silhouette embraces the body with effortless softness, while the sculptural wooden base introduces a striking architectural presence. Individually carved and richly textured, the wood element bears the expressive signature of Moyat’s artistic practice, transforming the piece beyond furniture into a functional work of art.
